Pleasant Hill Academy, INC is a Christ-centered private school located in the heart of Poinciana, Florida. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated teacher who is committed to integrating faith and learning in a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.

Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, creative, and spiritually grounded English Teacher with a heart for teaching and ministry. The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering instruction, maintaining a positive and orderly classroom, and modeling Christian values both in and out of the classroom. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Plan a classroom curriculum that meets school standards
  • Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking skills
  • Prepare any necessary learning materials
  • Assign homework
  • Take attendance
  • Grade assignments and provide feedback
  • Document students’ learning progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
  • Report and document behavioral incidents
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher and state teaching certification
  • Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Compensation: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
